Toy Fair 2008: Basic Fun Launches Guitar Hero CarabinerSOUTHAMPTON, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A miniature version of the monster gaming sensation Guitar Hero will debut at the International Toy Fair, February 17th – 20th at the Javits Center, New York, NY. Basic Fun’s Guitar Hero Carabiner features a playable and portable take on the original Guitar Hero with a few noticeable differences. The first is the size – the Guitar Hero Carabiner, at about 75% the size of the original, measures 7 ¾â€Â X 3â€. The second is the price. Basic Fun’s Guitar Hero Carabiner retails for a suggested $14.99. Cleverly designed, this miniature guitar houses all the electronics, including an LCD screen, in the body of the guitar. With no need for a gaming system or television, the Guitar Hero Carabiner is truly portable and can be played just about anywhere. Adding to the portability, the neck of the guitar folds down, making it pocket sized, measuring a mere 4â€Â X 3â€. You can also clip it onto a backpack or messenger bag with the built in carabiner located at the base of the guitar. “Basic Fun has worked with Activision and Red Octane, the game’s original developer, to bring the Guitar Hero experience to this unique, pocket sized format,â€Â said Basic Fun President Alan Dorfman. Founded in 1993, Basic Fun reinvented the impulse toy category with its innovative line of miniature working toys based on the world’s most beloved brands. Now with over 80 licensing agreements from industry leaders such as Hasbro, Lucas Films, Nintendo and Nickelodeon, Basic Fun continues to lead the category with inventive, high quality toys and accessories. |
