LogoFans of Super Monkey Ball or the old marble-in-the-labyrinth game will want to keep an eye on this one. Marble Saga Kororinpa combines the rolling ramp feel of Super Monkey Ball with unique environments like ice or a junkyard that for some reason makes me think of Katamari Damaci. Players have many marbles to choose from, like a dog, cat, UFO, hedgehog (not blue), and more.

Some of the levels will call to mind MC Escher's work, requiring players to tilt the Wiimote 180 degrees, and springs, pinball bumpers, and other gadgets add to the variety.

The most unique aspect we haven't been able to try out yet--balance board support. I'm curious how this will work with the extreme tipping of some levels, but it could add a whole new dimension of gameplay. Control seems a bit tighter than Monkey Ball--the ball sticks to the ground a bit more, making it easier to get your bearings.

Graphics are beautiful and rival the stunning Monkey Ball graphics. Check out the extensive image gallery for more.

screenshotThis pre-release demo doesn't allow players to change the camera angle, so we hope that will change in the final release, as you sometimes have to make a slight leap of faith or would at least benefit from a slight camera twist.

Check out the gallery, and check back shortly after March 17 for a full review.
