New Digimon Adventure Goes Gold for Nintendo DS™

SANTA CLARA, Calif., (July 15, 2008) – Leading video games publisher and developer NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., announced today that Digimon World® Championship has gone gold for the Nintendo DS™. Intense action abounds in a new adventure based on the hit animated series that allows players to hunt, capture, and train their own Digimon for competition in a legendary tournament.  Over 200 different Digimon can be found in their natural wild habitats, and once trained to their peak fighting form, they can battle for the Digimon World Championship.

“NAMCO BANDAI Games is thrilled to deliver the ultimate Digimon experience,” said Todd Thorson, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc.  "Players will be drawn to the imaginative franchise as they take complete control over the development of their Digimon while experiencing epic battles and intense gameplay."

Digimon Tamers will explore the entire Digital World to capture any of the over 200 of wild Digimon using a variety of hunting traps and gear. Once in their possession, players can train their Digimon to boost specific abilities, preparing them to compete in over 50 different Title matches. Tamer skills will determine the success of your Digimon squad as players use cunning and creativity to properly enhance the skills needed to reign supreme. Tamers can further test their skills and training by challenging friends to multiplayer battle action using Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection.  Hunting rare Digimon, in combination with Training, leads to victory over all in the Digimon World Championship!
