How to Win

If you've listened to our show, you may have noted that Teresa and Dale don't use their last name. We do this for privacy. But we really need a nickname! Send us your idea for a nickname for each of us that includes our actual names (e.g. "Tech Talk Dale and Teresa Techtalker" -- Those suggestions don't count.). We will choose the name we like best and be henceforth known by those nicknames. The person who suggested that set of nicknames will win first prize.

If we don't choose the name you suggest, you're still eligible to win second prize, chosen randomly from all contest entries.

Suggestions may be sent using our submission form, one pair of suggestions per submission.

Contest FAQ

• How many times can I enter? You can offer as many suggestions as you want, and the more suggestions you offer, the more likely you'll win! We want to encourage lots of great suggestions!
• How do I know you won't just pick one of your friends' suggestions? If we wanted to just give a game to a friend, we wouldn't go through a charade first. Besides, we're going to use this name forever, so it has to be something we really like.
• What if you don't like any of the names? Unlikely as that is, if absolutely none of the names appeal to us, we will choose winners for both prizes randomly.
• Do you have any guidelines for names? It should have something to do with our site or show (Technology, toys, video games, and/or gadgets or some kind of family reference), at least loosely. Be clever! Note that if we consider an entry to be inappropriate or trying to "stuff the box" with duplicate or near-duplicate entries or gibberish entries, those entries will be discarded. Dale and Teresa are married, so a shared "last name" would be appropriate but by no means required.

All entries must be recieved by March 12, 2008 at 11:59 PM, CST.

The Fine Print

• Contest available only to U.S., Canadian, and U.S. Military addresses
• Winner will be announced on the Tech Talk for Families first podcast episode following the contest deadline. Following the announcement, the winner will be notified via email.
• Prizes are either new or like new, only used for review purposes
• Rules subject to change as needed. (Only in case of abuse.)
