It seems to be only a matter of time before all toys have an online world component. As long as they continue to make the actual toys for more creative play, this doesn't seem like a bad thing--it's just more value added to the toy.
This could be done very well or very badly, but the concept is great. Immersion is the only way to learn history. Just watch out for Dr. Steve.
