 Heavy Metal has taken many forms
over the years, from the makeup, leather and spikes of its early years
to the more modern, uh, leather and spikes. While the makeup has gone,
the power chords and distinct vocals remain. The latest Rock Band Track
Pack collects 20 tracks from classic metal to modern hits, with an

2009 saw the release of a lot of great video games, plus a few serious
clunkers. While you can check out our reviews for all kinds of ideas,
here are some of our favorites from the past few months that we
recommend for families: 
Queen built their reputation on beautiful harmonies (and a flamboyant lead singer!), which makes them another perfect band to be featured in a SingStar game. SingStar remains the only game on the Playstation platforms to use harmony in singing, so I personally prefer them in a SingStar game over the other popular music franchises out there. But is this adaptation a kind of magic?

While Rock Band 2 offers downloadable music on all platforms now, if you're a classic rock fan, you can save some money picking up the latest track pack. A $10 savings over buying the songs separately (only if you're interested in all 20 songs, though, so do the math), this collection offers a great starter for someone with less eclectic tastes, a dial-up connection, or as more songs for the collector. (Note: we played the 360 version, but all versions are basically the same.) 
Since 1994, The King of Fighters has brought various characters from SNK games together to match fists and flames. Offering not only 64 characters, the latest in the series offers three different command modes to allow players to customize their fighting style. Five different modes allow players to choose how to play and gives additional variety to gameplay, and players can choose to fight as just one fighter or a team of three. 
In 2002, video games saw the most unlikely team-up ever: Final Fantasy meets Disney, and oddly enough, it worked. Kingdom Hearts captured the hearts of fans of both worlds with an action role-playing game on the PS2. But before the release of its sequel,
