CES 2008: Nyko's Wireless Nunchunk

We reported on the wireless Wii Nunchunk a while ago, and it will finally be available in late January/early February.

If you are someone that gets annoyed by the cord connecting your Wiimote and Nunchunk, check out Nyko's Wireless Nunchunk. The nunchunk has a little dongle that plugs into the Wiimote. Once you plug in the dongle, you tap the connection buttons on it and the Nunchunk to sync them together. It runs on 2 AAA batteries with a claimed battery life of up to 30 hours.

Wireless Nunchuk... blah!

Playing the Wii for many hours... with my kids, of course... I can't see any reason to have a wireless nunchuk. The cord between the two is plenty long (I'm 6'3" and have never had a problem).

The other problem I see is the waste it will create with batteries. Although I immediately bought a rechargable battery for our Wiimotes, I've heard that the Wiimotes eat up batteries pretty quickly. This will just add to the polution.

My two cents...
