This afternoon I checked the repair status on the Nintendo site and was surprised to see:

Wow! The serial number is a match to the console I sent in and they turned it around in one day. If I had to guess, I'd say this was a none failure and they had a simple test and an even simpler repair.

According to the UPS site, my Wii was in transit this morning and should be delivered on Monday.

At this point, I have to say I'm impressed with the quick turn around. I'll post again when it arrives and I've had a chance to see if it works.

If you are under warranty, why would they charge you $75?

If the Wii is covered under

If the Wii is covered under a warranty, they won't charge you anything. For some odd reason, Nintendo always mentions the price of the repair.
