Yesterday, Warner Bros confirmed that, by Holiday 2009, LEGO Rock Band will be hitting every major console, including the DS. This raises all kinds of questions, but it also sounds like great news for families. Our biggest trouble with the Rock Band series has been the mix of appropriateness in songs for young voices, but this new edition, besides being an unexpected-but-possibly-cool new version, looks to target a younger audience while not alienating the older set.  read more »

Any analog TV signals that haven't shut down already will do so within the next three months. If you have a digital TV, cable, or satellite, you need not worry, and worst case, you'll need a digital converter box if you don't already have one. For Christmas, my daughter received an iTunes gift card. She has her own computer and her own iPod, so she wanted access to the iTunes store to get her own music, but when I tried to set up an account for her, the store required a credit card or Paypal account. I don't want to give her my credit card information, since I don't want her buying additional songs--I just want her to use her gift card.  read more »

Rock Band 2 includes more songs on its list than any other rhythm game to date, and it also includes a code for a pack of 20 additional songs. We filter our email through Google's Gmail, which we recommend, as their spam filters catch ~99% of our spam with very few false positives.
